Give Me One Pure and Holy Passion

Today marks day 1 of my 4 day fast. If you think about it in the coming days, just keep me in your prayers as I seek the Lord's will and His heart on a few things.

As the title might suggest, One Pure and Holy Passion is kind of my theme song this week (yeah, I have a "fasting theme song", I also have a fasting t-shirt and Psalm 109:24 bookmark... Okay, I lied about the t-shirt. And the bookmark.).

Sadly, since I've been neglecting my blog lately, I've gotten out of blog-shape. Which basically just means I'm going to go take a metaphorical breather (and drink some metaphorical water since Gatorade is on my list of no's this week ;)), and leave you guys with this:

Give me one pure and holy passion
Give me one magnificent obsession
Give me one glorious ambition for my life
To know and follow hard after You

Give me one pure and holy passion
Give me on magnificent obsession
Give me one glorious ambition for my life
To know and follow hard after You

To know and follow hard after you
To grow as your dicsiple in your truth
This world is empty, pale, and poor
Compared to knowing you, my Lord
Lead me on and I will run after you
Lead me on and I will run after you

Give me one pure and holy passion
Give me one magnificent obsession
Give me one glorious ambition for my life
To know and follow hard after you
To know and follow hard after you
To grow as your disciple in the truth
This world is empty, pale, and poor
Compared to knowing you my Lord
Lead me on and I will run after you

Lord to know and follow hard after you
And to grow as your disciple in your truth
This world is empty, pale, and poor
Compared to knowing you my Lord
Lead me on and I will run after you
Lead me on and I will run after you
Lead me on and I will run after you

And this...

1To you, O LORD, I call;
my rock, be not deaf to me,
lest, if you be silent to me,
I become like those who go down to the pit.
2 Hear the voice of my pleas for mercy,
when I cry to you for help,
when I lift up my hands
toward your most holy sanctuary.
Psalm 28: 1-2

8The LORD is the strength of his people;
he is the saving refuge of his anointed.
9Oh, save your people and bless your heritage!
Be their shepherd and carry them forever.
Psalm 28: 8-9
